Meet Loris SOS

a new kind of blue light

The world’s only discreet phone-free technology to directly alert 911 of a user’s name, location, and exact floor level in an emergency.

LORIS SOS is a patent pending wearable safety device created for moments when traditional tools fail. Designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life as a bracelet, scrunchie, keychain, or other accessory, it is made to be something students will actually carry and wear. It works even if a phone is taken, out of battery, inaccessible, or unsafe to use. Unlike Bluelights or smartwatches, Loris SOS is designed to minimize further escalation, provides up to 4 months of battery life, has precise elevation/indoor location, and respects user privacy by only activating location data during an emergency.

Help is on its way

Have reassurance knowing that the police are on their way and have received your name, location, and elevation.

If I had something as discreet as a bracelet that could connect me with the police right away... I would not have been in the position to choose either being safe or getting the education I wanted

FAQs

So who is behind all this?

LORIS SOS was created by people who understand what safety truly requires. Not in theory, but through lived experience.

LORIS SOS was founded by Jenna Rodier after experiencing firsthand how existing safety solutions can fail when they’re needed most. Instead of accepting that gap, she earned her Master’s in Mechanical Engineering focused on product design and manufacturing to build the device she wished had existed.

LORIS SOS has been shaped through conversations and research with students, campus police, university safety leaders, sexual assault prevention advocates, shooting survivors, and emergency response professionals. The aim is simple: discreet hardware, backed by a system responders can trust.

This is not just another startup.

This is a commitment to students, to campuses, and to every person who deserves fast, reliable help when it matters most.
